Eye on Asia – Hindi is a variety show which represents the East Indian/South Asian/Indo-Canadian community. This program celebrates its culture with features on music, dance and fashion. It pays special attention to the Bombay film industry, (also known as “Bollywood”) and the exciting Indian fashion industry which is unique in the world. Arts and Entertainment segments feature designers, screenwriters, actors, and directors. News features are direct from India and the Indo-Canadian community. The program offers interviews, community affairs features, an astro-forecast, fashion, jewelry, immigration and financial features. It is hosted by Darshan and Arvinder Sahota, and is co-hosted by Jora Sahota.They have been in the entertainment, radio and television fields for over 20 years. Although Hindi is the official language of India, English is widely spoken and used in the business and entertainment industries in India. “Eye on Asia” is produced in both official languages of India: Hindi and English. The program celebrates Hindu, Sikh, Muslim and Christian holidays. “Eye on Asia” airs on Saturday and Sunday. Although they are of the same name and style, each is a produced original.
